My tortoise ate something bad!

I took my 2 year old hermanns tortoise outside in his pen today since it was sunny. I was letting him roam around but then i noticed he stoped. I thought he was just not moving buy he was actually eating something! I quickly tried to pull it out of his mouth but I couldnt get all of it and he swallowed some of it. Im not sure what it was but it looked like this. Im very concerend if he will he be alright. I have given him a bath and fed him lots of cactus in hope to get the stuff out of his system. If there are any suggestions or ideas of what I should do please help. Thank you!

I think it is, but it theres like white powdery stuff on it

It's probably some old, moldy poo. Don't worry about it. He'll be ok.

Seems like it was harmless enough, but it may not have been. Do a careful area patrol before letting him loose in there or anywhere else again.
Also apart from things he may eat and get sick, remember dogs, hawks, raccoons etc. Or humans.
