my tortoise ate a stone

i cought my baby horsfield tort eating a small stone. Should i be worried or is it just some thing they do?
iv heard of crocodiles and other reptiles swallowing stones to do something to there stomach!

Should i be worried?

I found a fairly large stone in the poo of one of my big girls. the things they do!!!! i think stuff like this does happen often enough, but yes it can lead to problems if it causes a blockage

thanks for the fast reply.
i am currently keeping my tort indoors and have removed the stones from his enclosure.
do you think i should put them back in and not worry so much.
i am new to keeping tortoises (only got the little man christmas eve) im trying to learn as much as i can as fast as i can.

this forum has been a great help.

I think if they'r small enough for them to get in their mouths, you should keep them out just to be on the safe side!
