The redfooted tortoises live here. There are three of them, the male purchased and the two females given to me from Dr. Cosmonaut - and whenever I want to check on them, they're all in the shed with the spider webs, so I never get to see them (and you don't either, because I hate spiderwebs in my hair):

Their rain forest is shaded by rose of sharon, mulberry and some sort of shrub I don't know the name of.

The YF tortoises live next door to the RF tortoises and they have an orange tree, a fig tree, a young magnolia tree and a very large hardy hibiscus. If you look closely you can see one of them hiding up against the fence where the colocasia is growing.

It looks wonderful. What is their shed like - besides the spider webs?

This is their patio, but I guess I don't have any pictures of their portion of the structure. It's a 10x10 shed with 3/4 going to the Aldabran tortoises. Here's an overall look at the shed from the aldabran yard:

The YFs are on the right.

Wow. Very cool. Sure wish I could do something like that but Chicago weather isn't conducive to an outdoor tortoise enclosure. It would cost a lot to heat it sufficiently.

Thank you. I can't seem to keep cover plants alive though. I guess it's too shady.

Hmmm, I do live in Chicago and it's very doable. A well insulated shed, floor, ceiling and walls all insulated and an oil filled space heater on a thermostat with each tort having a basking bulb. Very doable. At least give them an outdoor enclosure for the warm months.

Place moth balls around up off the ground so torts can't get to them. They help keep spiders away. I can't do spiders either.
