Largest male is steady growing and I can barely hold him with one hand anymore lol. 2nd to largest male has finally began to grow again after months of no growth. I truly think he isn't fond of summer months. The female is EXPLODING in growth. It's been fascinating to watch her progress.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1448582487.096064.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1448582506.026162.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1448582516.147437.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1448582532.733225.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1448582545.916626.jpg

These are all pure pardalis and have all been quite steady in growth lately. Fingers crossed that plenty turn out female ;)

These are all mixies and very different from one another. Interestingly some have slowed in growth compared to the summer months and others have increased rapidly since moving into a sealed enclosure.
I'm trying to figure out why there isn't a uniform response to changes in environment. It's quite possible it's simply personality which affects feeding response and growth. Nice soaking arrangements. I am imagining how much food all of those monsters must go through  LOL
Thanks. Luckily I live in Louisiana and get to mix weeds/grass along with the produce I buy pretty much year round. Plus they get grazing time 90% of the year.

As you can see from the this photo they must eat quite well lolImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1449089369.005743.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1449089380.606001.jpg

It is rather shocking how much they can output, until you think about how much they've taken in the last few days.

Yes the outside time helps a lot...here in MO we have a good 6 months of strictly indoor weather.

I'm not ready to call it quite yet, but this beautiful p.p. specimen is still looking female. Gosh I hope it pans out to be female.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1450321623.744295.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1450321651.421145.jpg

Update time with measurements on all those over 4.5 inches. I will number each one with a plastron shot for anyone to guess the sex if the juvies. First the smaller mix babies

These are finally starting to kick the growth back in gear after settling back into their sealed enclosure for the winter. Expect some noticeable progress on next months updates

It sure looks like you'll have a number of females; my male was looking way more male than any of those by the time he was 5 inches or so, but things can change quickly. Here's hoping...
