Overheating is another possible cause that could present itself this way. Perhaps Martha flipped over in the sun - got too hot before she could turn back over, but you or your son wouldn't have known it happened.
It's definitely possible. I didn't think about that. It was a partly cloudy day but even with mid 70's if they flip over and experience sun for 5-10 minutes it could do damage. Thanks for the suggestion

I'm going to post updated photos but also plastron shots of each leopard so we can monitor the changes as they grow and sex becomes apparent. I figured it would be good to do especially with the unknown juvies I have coming into their maturity. I'm still confused by many.

We will start with the smaller and work our way up.

#A -mixed leopard ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1454359412.491129.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1454359442.522449.jpg

#B -purchased as a pure PP but doesn't appear to be pure

#C. -Mixed leopard (suspected female)

Here are the one mixed leopard and the pure PP leopards with plastron shots. I'm beyond anxious to know their sex ratio.

Amazing!!! At what age do you let your leopards start to explore out side?

Thanks for the compliment. They begin to get outside time to some degree very early on. At least that's how I raised up my sulcata babies. I will treat the leopard babies that I will soon hatch out the same way since it was successful. Sometimes as soon as the yolk sac on the hatchling is absorbed they get outside tiem depending on what time of year they hatch out. My juvies between 4-6 inches stay outside full time from May-September, but that's only if the outside area is conducive for growth and safety.

Babies can benefit greatly from 20-30 min of sunshine every day provided they are not scorching in the direct sunlight.

The large female is a mixed leopard 14.5". My young PP female is quickly catching up to her .

You have Hibiscus in February? Not fair!!! ;)

Actually my tree that I brought inside for the winter is starting to grow again, so I've been able to feed a few leaves here and there lately; in the past they have always died a few weeks after I bring them in. I'm hoping now that it has made it through its first transition to indoors this winter, that it will continue to flourish the next few years. If I knew I could keep them alive through the winter, I would buy up a bunch of them at the end of the season, but the tropical ones seem quite sensitive to stress.

It's been a relatively mild winter down here in South LA. We have had plenty of nights in the 30's but not below freezing which makes a huge difference. So most of my plants haven't dropped all of their leaves/flowers. The hibiscus were planted in an area that the cold can't fall on directly so they have been producing some flowers all winter long. Usually 3-4 flowers a day which is enough to please the flower lovers. Some of my pardalis don't touch the flowers until everything else in sight is gone, and others run past everything to eat the flowers first.

This one has my puzzled. In person I think "male" because it's a big time tail swinger while it walks, but when I look back at photos like these I think female. Anybody want to put in their two cents? @Tom @yvonne @Neal @Elohi
I will know for sure after another inch or two of growth.
