I'm sorry to hear that. Rehabbing baby birds is pretty difficult.
In my limited experience, this is the first one that didn't go crazy eating once it figured out that I had food for it.
I think he was worse off than I first recognized.
I don't know how long he had been terrorized until I found him.

Be at peace my friend. I would have to figure the poor guy suffered some serious trauma from his "feathered" encounter before you showed up and saved him. His lack of appetite was likely another indicator of this as well. You went far and above what most would have done in the same situation.
