Ah ok. Learn something new everyday! I measured his carapace from the wall and he is roughly 3 1/4 inches. Probably still too early.

Yes, your tort is too small by quite a long way at the moment

I'd say they need to be 4.5" to start showing, but then you'll get to ID obvious males and possible females. It's all about how they carry their tail, I've had one I thought were females that turned out to be late blooming males.
