There are many enjoyable aspects of raising box turtles and one is to raise babies up into beautiful unique adults.
This is my young 3toed male Mr.Halloween. Of course I renamed him that when his unique coloration started coming in. Although he was particularly shy over his first years he is really starting to get brave. I normally think 3toeds are kinda boring looking, but he is gorgeous! :) Bet you're glad to see him coming out of his shell.

He's wicked. Dang. I think you just one-upped me. Is that one full 3toed or a cross? He's awesome.

I love my 3toeds. They're all unique, and I'm finding that the longer they're in my yard--and since I've stopped redecorating--we are much more interactive and friendly with each other.

I have a boy similar to this with more yellow than orange.

I would have gone with Candy Corn.

Very pretty.

Thanks everyone . It's a pleasure working with such beautiful turtles. I may try my hand at making some videos soon

Between 3 and 4 you start to see what direction their coloration is going and the sex becomes apparent.
