Those are all Eastern box turtles, Terrapene carolina carolina.

Good ole 'Joe'.... we both grew up in Ohio and I remember one he had that had a solid yellow head and scarlet red eyes - Tom Mc would've passed out! Most of these were from SE Ohio!

Tell me about it everybody.. with the 'space', etc. available in my back yard.. imagine what I could do!!! But the laws in TN won't allow it.. especially ANY in the Terrapene family!

Very nice boxies, I especially love the male bauri! We don't see many that dark, and the perfect little dots of yellow on his legs are great!

Those are gorgeous. I've never seen any like that in GA. Those I've seen are typically pretty average.
