Meet Jeff & Paul

Hi, I'm Jeff from Odessa (North/outside of Tampa Bay), Florida US.
I'm in love with Paul, a young sulcata tortoise you might be able to give me an age estimate for, presumed pampered along with its sibling by the local keeper, before me.
I'm astounded at their personalities particularly older sulcatas when they're desensitized and even seemingly socialized with humans.
But even their natural behaviors are just amazing to watch, sprawling across time the nature of their movements, I admit I feel like I'm looking at a baby dinosaur grazing in the presence of Paul.

Cute pics, love the butt shot. Your enclosure looks to be lacking humidity. They need 80% to grow nice and smooth. This along with over all temps day and night of 80 and basking temp of 95-100. If you can get him outside for a 1/2 hour daily of sun light, you won't need a UVB light, but probably will need Che's for heat and an incandescent bulb of 60 watt for basking. A closed chamber works best for keeping humidity and heat stable.
