Male Vs Female Sulcata Tortoises

Normally,what are the differences in temperament or personality between male and female sulcatas?Which sex is more outgoing and active?

PS.I know that males are usually bigger than females but someone told that as long as i you don't breed the latter,they will also grow as big as the former?
Is this truie?

I have had 3 males and HOPEFULLY my small one is female, but even with my 3 males they each had different personalities. 2 of the larger males were super outgoing and 1 was a bit shyer. I never had one that was "bad" though.
