Gender unknown. Far, far too small to tell. Every tortoise looks female to start

It is physical size that is important when sexing. The actual size varies from species to species, but 5 inches straight line length is a good start. Some species have to be bigger than that even for certainty.

Some will 'flash' quite small. A male's penis is once seen never forgotten. If you see it then you have a male.
