Male or Female size?

So male or female or is it too small. Also what size can you normally start to tell.

That one could go either way. When you can tell varies a lot. I had a 9 year old that I mistakenly thought was female. Others I've been able to tell as hatchlings. When they start getting closer to maturity and the hormones really begin to flow, that is where the secondary sexual characteristics really begin to show. For some this happens at 10". Others not until closer to 14".

I agree with the above posts. My 3 year old sulcata, that's 15 inches long and 25 pounds, has confused forum members as well as the vet. The vet said female because of the flat plastron, small tail, and the way the "part" looks. For mine, the part says male, but other parts say female. You'll find out very clearly some day!
