Hello! I have a question about My male box turtle. He isn't showing any interest in breeding this year.. He looks great, he's active and he's eating well. I even have brought him another female boxie over from a friend's in hopes he breeds with her, as well as my female. Thought it give mine a slight break. Usually after waking from hibernation he won't leave my female boxie alone, he's always chasing her down. I know our weather here in Colo has been weird, but now we've been consistently warm. Just curious why he might not be interested in his ladies..? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks :) My Handsome Mr. Bean

Sometimes it takes a little fighting between males to get up the testosterone. Barring that, you might try separating him for a month or so.

I would definitely separate them as Yvonne suggested. Reintroduce in 3 to 4 weeks.
