Lump on neck of African Leopard...opinions please

Taking Jake to the vets in a couple of days but wondered if anyone can give me an idea of what this lump may be and how it should be treated. I only noticed it in the last week or so and pretty sure it wasn't there much before then unless i just never noticed it. It's about the size and shape of an oval pill capsule. Thanks

it appears to be an abscess; and it should be lanced by a vet soon. The size of the lump on the outside is about the same as it is on the inside. This can interfere with swallowing food.

I think so too. The lump should be opened by a VET to see if there is pus in.

I agree as well. Mine has a bruise there as if that happened, I wonder if it did. Do you think that would be very likely?
