Good day
I have a baby leopard tortoise. We live in Johannesburg South Africa. Its winter here now. I bought a 11 watt uvb lamp for during the day and a 75 watt night heat lamp exo terra for nights. Will this be sufficient?

The night heat should not have a light. A ceramic heat emitter is what most use. Gives off heat but no light. The UVB bulb sounds like a coil bulb or compact flourescent which has been known to cause eye problems. A tube flourescent or a Mercury vapor bulb is safe and works good. The Mercury will give off heat also, the flourescent won't.
What do you get for temps during the day and nights in winter?

Please post pictures of his enclosure so that we can spot any potential problems. Here are care sheets:

Young Leopard tortoises should not ever be colder than 80 degrees. Colder than 80 and he is at risk of becoming ill.

Regarding the question on your profile, no, he is not a year old. More likely to be around four months.

If the 11 watt is one of those curly-shaped bulbs, don't use it. They are harmful to baby tortoise's eyes.
