leopard tortoise housing

hi
does anyone think i could keep a male leopard tortoise in a 9x2ft open top enclosure (I'm going to be closing off part of a room) if not could i have a suggestion for any other mediumish tortoises i could keep in there.

If this is for winter months only it will work okay. If that's a permanent enclosure, then no. A Russian, hermanns or Greek will work okay. However, every tort should have a outdoor area for the summer months.

I have my adults in a 8 by 8 enclosure for winter and that is way too small. They pace around all day. An adult leopard in an enclosre that small will not be happy or healthy.

The suggestions by Wellington are good.

thanks, would a red foot be suitable or still to small?
