Looks like your juveniles are going to be pretty adults. As they get older they tend to calm down and stop trying to bite everything.
I've kept a lot of aquatic turtles and can honestly say that for small size, big personality, pleasing color and ease of care red-cheek mud turtles are hard to beat.

Yes they look good. Really red. And the adults are all from different bloodlines. The juveniles are from a different then the adults too but they're siblings. And yes beautiful personalities. I'll continue the post in this thread maybe we'll see some more eggs/hatchlings.

They live in middle America ( Nicaragua, Guatemala etc). They don't make a hibernation and they're fresh water turtles.

Found some new eggs today. Again four. It's really funny I never see them on the land for sun basking if for digging a nest but I found eggs for the second time. Unfortunately i don't know which female laid those eggs..
you can see on the third picture that they're all fertile and you can see the difference between the "old eggs"

Just found a new egg. Only one but I think I disturb her while she laid the eggs. So they should come some more.

Yes hopefully I'll get some hatchlings. I never breed this species. If everything goes right the first hatchlings will hatch in the end of January!

So unfortunately the first clutch still don't hatch.. the eggs looks pretty and big..
wait wait wait.
Because of a fire some of my animals (also the C. Cruentatum) aren't at my location at the moment. The friend where they're told me that one of them laid 5 eggs again at his location :D

Can't tell from the photos--or without looking at them in person.
But my rule is to wait.
