Today, the ITs hit 14 months! There is no way for me to discern sex because physical changes are rampant right now. The only constant at this point are their flat plastrons! A month ago, all anal scutes were horseshoe shaped...and now, IT-1 seems to be flaring out some! IT-3 is doing the same...but not as drastically! If I had to sex them now...IT-2 would be the only girl...but who knows! All I will say is that IT-1 is the biggest sulcata I've ever raised at this age! But, again, what does that mean...or matter!

IT-1 6.76 inches 1021 grams (2.25 pounds)

IT-2 4.46 inches 319 grams (.7 pounds)

IT-3 5.38 inches 516 grams (1.13 pounds)

Sadly, my camera died! And, as I'm not into playing it cheap when it comes to cameras...my updates will be photo-less...for now!

Dean thank u for this thread. It's fun to follow. U can really see how each tort grows different. I'm waiting for the day the small one becomes the biggest!!!

The ITs are 15 months old today! Here's a little rundown...

IT-1: 7.5" 1350 grams (just under 3 pounds)

IT-2: 5" 411 grams (just under 1 pound)

IT-3: 5.75" 627 grams (just under 1.5 pounds)

The ITs are 16 months today! IT-2 is really catching up to IT-3 while IT-1 remains in the running for dinosaur status!

IT-1: 8.125" 1457 grams (3 pounds 4 oz)

Last fall I offered the ITs pumpkin...and they wanted nothing to do with it! I guess competition this year dictates otherwise. After the 8s had their fill, the ITs decided to join...er...take over the party!

The ITs turned 17 months yesterday...here's what they've been up to the past few days! They got their first taste of tuna (prickly pear cactus fruit). Then, due to the abundance of fruit I have, I pulverized it and mixed it in with their Mazuri/hay mix...and would you believe it? Even with the sweetness and her proven love of tuna, IT-2 still refuses to eat Mazuri...or anything associated with it.

Anyway...

IT-1: 8.25" 1660 grams (3lbs 10oz)

IT-2: 5.5" 536 grams (1lbs 3oz)




IT-3: 6.5" 826 grams (1lbs 13oz)
