Got new weights and lengths today!

IT-1: 2.61" 53 grams
IT-2: 2.52" 51 grams
IT-3: 2.56" 52 grams

...and for time span...remember, they just turned two months on Tuesday! For babies like this to grow half an inch (and more) in two months is amazing to me!

IT leapfrog! I told you before...IT-2 is as goofy as they get! He will endure any obstacle to get where he wants...even if he ends up on his back!DSC_0406.JPG DSC_0407.JPG

...and a couple yawners! IT-3 doesn't even bother lifting her head...DSC_0409.JPG

and IT-1 still has a bit of Mazuri on his nose!

So cute, the second pic looks like he really crashed.
It's funny! Those of us with large sulcatas have see then all hang their head when they're crashed...but this is the first time I've seen a baby do it!

The ITs celebrate their first rain! When in doubt...eat cactus!DSC_0054.JPG

Given the lower temps (90ºF), higher humidity 51% little rain and no sun...the ITs do what they do best...

No...I didn't acquire any albino RES! It's the first swimming lesson for the ITs. Carefully monitored for a 15 minute session, they caught on quick and showed a couple impressive bursts of speed!

IT-1 always the biggest and quickest to catch on to new activity...

It-2 dragged this thing around for 10 minutes...almost as long as he is :p

Free...at last!

IT-3 was the most amusing...swimming in circles, pivoting and diving!

Here's today's swimming session...IT-1 meets Wolfie! Our dogs absolutely dote over the tortoises...big and small! However, they are NEVER (under any circumstances) left alone with them! We've never had an accident...and we NEVER will! Wolfie was a rescue from the South LA Shelter...1/2 Yorkie 1/2 Min Pin...and the closest thing to perfect I've EVER experienced in a dog! We've had him over two years now...and he was two when we got him! He went gaga over the Sudans as babies...and he's just as attached to the ITs DSC_0485.JPG

Here's a few shots of the ITs in the mini-marsh! Basically, I took out a 25 foot eucalyptus three years ago. After grinding the stump, I treated the area with white clover...it took well, but the soil sank a bit. So, when I water the lawn, this becomes a nice little marsh for the ITs. They will actually submerge their heads to feed on the clover underwater! When they finish, they climb out! It's all about exercise. Eventually, I'll add soil and raise this area to match the reat of the lawn, but for the time being, it's one of the ITs many micro-biomes.

To my untrained eye it looks like IT-1 is growing bigger than IT-2.

Gosh they're pretty.
