I'm guessing my Sulcata isn't actually crying...

So when I go out in my yard to socialize with Franklin and he looks like he just watched 12 straight hours of Lifetime, he's not actually crying because he's sad...???

Logic would tell me that it's some sort of mechanism to keep his eyes hydrated.

Someone please confirm this for me.

Thanks!

12 hours of lifetime? yes I would be crying as well, for different reasons.Crying/watery eyes, is usually a sign of dehydration/overheating. What does his enclosure looks like?

His home is basically a large burrow that he created himself over a year ago in my backyard. I have no idea what it looks like down there. Its funny. I actually saw him drinking from his bowl yesterday. He was there for a while.

He also has a place to soak, but doesn't go in it, despite living in Phoenix.

It's funny. He has plenty of options for shade in my backyard. In fact, his burrow is under a tree. Before he had the burrow, he would manage his temp by hiding under the bushes, but doesn't go near them anymore. Weird...
