I have some questions on my Russian Tortoise

I just finished my new tortoises in closure is 8 foot by 4 foot and it was my first build and i use eco earth coconut husk for substrate and i also have questions about my tortoise and im scared because i dont want him to die maybe im just over reacting

Oh but those water dishes are a big hazard most people here use terra cotta plant saucers. They are safe for tortoises. The one you have can cause him to flip over and drown.

Good job and he looks fine to me. The water dish is a hazard. A terra cotta saucer is safer. The only other suggestion I have is make the substrate deeper. Nicely done.

Shell rot most often starts on the plastron (bottom shell) from sitting on wet/dirty substrate. That tortoise is a beauty. I see nothing about the shell to cause any worry.
