how long to go without food?

How long does star torts goes without food ? I will be traveling overseas for 1 week & wonder if it is okay to leave some veg & his regular food in its penn, I m used to giving my pair of baby stars daily soaks & food

I don't know anything about Star tortoises, but I do know about baby tortoises, and I wouldn't leave babies unattended for even a day, much less a whole week. Isn't there anyone you can ask to come over and feed/water and check on them?

Yvonne makes a good point... leaving a juvi or an adult tortoise for a week is different than leaving babies. I hope you can get some help for your time gone.

Just curious..Is your habitat set up properly and fully automated with timers and thermostats?

Do you have a good veterinarian that may keep them for a week for you? Mine will do that. I would not leave the babies alone for a week either. I would even be nervous leaving them alone for the weekend They are just too fragile.
