Hey!!
Was hoping you could help me. My Nan has what we believe to be a hosefield tortoise and earlier today when he was out in the garden he started foaming at the mouth and had a runny nose also went a bit limp.

He is a better now however he has not been eating as he normally would.

We think he may have got too hot outside so we quickly cooled him down.

My nan originally found Tommy the tortoise in her garden 7 years ago and appears to have damage to the shell we believe from a car.

Is there anything we can do to get his energy and appetite back up? Here are some pics. Thanks guys. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1429380558.230661.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1429380573.345550.jpg

Yes he was overheated. Just keep in in the shade and maybe give him a soak in luke warm water. Did he not have any shade when outside?

He looks more Greek to me, but with better pictures we can tell you for sure.
