Hello everybody, I've been a lurker on here for awhile, digging through your nuggets of wisdom to make sure Hermes, the leopard tortoise was getting the best care I could provide.

I purchased Hermes back in October of 2016, I was on the tail end of a heartbreaking battle with my 3 year old veiled chameleon. I lost him to a URI.

He's been growing well, the white/tan around the base is all growth since he became a part of the family. the slight pyramiding was already present when I purchased him, but it seems to be smoothing out as the new growth comes in.

Info on my tortoise box:
It's 2x4 and the basking side stays between 100-105 with a nice gradient as he moves away from it.

I mist every morning and keep the humidity around 40%.
The substrate is coco coir, with a bit of peet moss mixed in, the photos is after a good cleaning and substrate refresh, but there's a bunch of rocks and such in there

Feeding:

He gets a pile of greens every morning, and some mazuri(which he loves!) Every few days or so. Occasionally dusting of vitamins(without d3)

I just finished putting all of the decoration back together so you can see his finished box.
