ground cover plant ID needed

My lawn is carpeted with this stuff but can't determine what it is. North Carolina = Zone 8
Can get up to 9" high.

Might be "betony" - Stachys officinalis
Flower photos are important for ID.

Prickly SIda is not listed in the TortoiseTableUK database.
Would anyone know if it is edible?
Its also called Tea Weed. A type of unusual looking Mallow.

It looks remarkably like a weed that I encounter in my yard here in Florida and my tortoises mow right through it.
