golden greek really active?

my baby golden greek tortoise is 10 weekes old. ive had her for 2 weeks and shes been burrowing all day and only coming out to eat. i just moved her lights higher up last nigh because i felt like the temp was too hot at 100. now the temp is 90 and shes very hyper and active and seems to be looking to escape. was she too hot before or should i make it 100 again??

Do you have a temp gun? Those dial thermometers aren't accurate, so it could be colder than you think.

However, it seems like when we first get torts they seem very shy at first, and after a while they turn frantic trying to go back home. Give him/her a day or two to see if it calms down.
