So I'll be out of town for a week...my tortoises heat sources and lighting are all on timers...I'm just worried about water/moisture and food...anyone have any good tips? I may have someone check on him every other day but he's quite the busy bee in his box...if I've been gone for a few days before I'd stash food around the box and make sure his rainforest floor and dirt is quite saturated with his covered spot being dry. Any ideas would help...

A week is too long to leave him without being checked, feeding and fresh water at least every other day. Ask friends, family or if you have a animal care source like dog sitters. They may do that for you.

What species and what size?

I've got different advice for a baby sulcata vs. and adult russian.
