Getting my tortoise this week!

As i said before, i was meant to be getting my tort in march. But my parents have decided that they would get me one on Thursday! they are getting me one that is around 3 years old, but i'm wondering f i should let it outside straight away, or let it settle in first of all.

Too many variables to answer yet. Weather? Set up? Going in for the night and out for the day? Are you sure it's healthy?

Average steps for new tort-
Herp vet visit right away.
Long soak.
Lots of food.
Leave him alone.
Where are you getting it from? It is impossible to know the age of a tort unless the seller hatched him/had from a hatching. What is your setup like? What species is it?
