Got another one. I believe this is a plantain, but not certain. Can anyone verify/ID.

Thanks!

Also, can anyone tell me what this is? Sorry, I'm not up to date on my native weeds.

Thanks again for the help!

I believe the second is cat's ear. The leaves grow flat to the ground with a yellow flower. In the same family as dandelion: safe.

Thank you all for your help! I figure if I have anymore questions, I will post them in here. That way fellow Georgians could view this thread and compare.

It might be. Has something been chomping on it? Like your tortoise? Some of those leaves look suspiciously torn short at the edges. Or perhaps it got taken down by an edge trimmer.

If it's not a thistle, I'd say it's something in the same family and safe. But I'd have to see it grow out more leaves to be sure! Is there a full leaf at the bottom you can take a picture of on a counter top or something? So we can see the outline.

Thank you for the reply! Yeah, it is just from being run over by the lawnmower. We are very careful to not give our tortoises anything we have not confirmed are safe. Everyone on this site is a huge help with that!

I will snap some pictures of a full leaf.

Thank you again!

Also, I have attached two more. Can anyone identify these? I've recently discovered tortoisetable and I have been using that, but can not seem to find these ones on there.

Thanks again!20170415_110152.jpg 20170415_110821.jpg

The first one--the one growing in the strawberres--is spiny sow thistle, safe.

I don't know the other two.

ETA it's not particularly spiny, perfectly easy for your tortoise to eat. They are more on the prickly side.
