Chris:

Is there anything unusual one has to do to care for these beauties? Is the care similar to any other species? What is their cold tolerance?

Thank you.

Yvonne, I find them to be very hardy and adaptable to a variety of situations. I've also found them to surprisingly cold tolerant to an extent. I will leave ours outside even when the nighttime temperatures drop into the mid to high 40s which is rare in the summer but happens in the spring sometimes. They don't miss a beat. They, like all our species have heated shelters and do make good use out of them. They'll cruise around and graze in daytime temps that are as low as 60F.

You have a yellow machine there in the new female, hopefully your male will get similar results. But the babies are sooooooo tiny!

Far far away.....!
Beautiful shell beasts you have there..... I wonder do you apply anything on the shell? It looks so shiny and well maintained. Good work!
