My 8 year old leopard female laid her 1st clutch today. No test holes. Just dig a hole, laid 5 perfect eggs, and covered up like a pro.
Is it early for a leopard to be laying?

Early? You mean at 8 years old, or early in the year?

In either case, no. My 6 year old leoaprds started laying recently, and my sulcatas always start laying in Dec or Jan.

I meant early in the year. My other female started last year in Aug n laid through February. She has not laid since. Will be glad when I have a few years under my belt and know what to expect from each of them.
