Edible plants in enclosures

Was shopping at a plant store and saw a dwarf banana plant and though about getting it for my yellow foot. This is probably a stupid question but I can't be to careful. I would hate myself forever if I fed or made available something poisinous but does the word dwarf mean anything other than smaller version of? Can he eat the leaves roots everything.

Yup...totally edible, and native to where the YF comes from.
