IMG_0573.JPG IMG_0567.JPG IMG_0569.JPG My tortoises seem to be growing quite fast lately. They both added about 10% of their total mass in just 1.5 months. My first tortoise has quite some deep grooves in his shell. I have never observed it in this manner. Is he growing to fast? Should I feed him less often? My other tortoise (last picture) seems to fine, he has a nice flat shell. Hope you can help me out.

Those are the growth lines. It would help smooth them out a bit if you were to moisten the substrate a bit more and provide more humidity in their environment.

All of those pics show good smooth growth. I wouldn't change a thing. You've done a great job.

Ok thanks, when I started I had some troubles getting the humidity to a good level. I know have an automated fogging (?) machine which helps great. Humidity levels are between 70-80% during the day and 80-90+ during the night.
