Very cool. Love their shells. Thanks for sharing. Are they active? How is their personalities? Are they interactive? Curious? Outgoing?

They are not normally active, but when they saw you place a banana in the pen, the things are totally different, everyone "RUN" to the banana.

Some of them are very interaction, some of them just shy away all day. he got a quite a few he can hold in his lap and feed them. no closing up, not fighting. I will say very active and outgoing but you need to spend time with them.

Beautiful, but I believe they are Flower back box turtles (Cuora galbinifrons?) and not cuora flavomarginata. (I'm not completely sure if this is what they are - can someone confirm this for me?) Very rare and beautiful turtles! I love my flavs, but they aren't anywhere as lovely as these!

None of the mentioned species are subspecies. They are all in the Genus Cuora. Cuora flavomarginata differs greatly in appearance from these turtles. The turtles shown look most like C. galbinifrons to me, but C. picturata, as Eric mentioned, and even C. bouretti, are most similar to C. galbinfrons.

Thank you Anthony. You are the authority. Let me translate your reply to him. He may learn something.

Nice turtles, how long has he had them?

He had some of them for over three years and some of them just 6 month. Those are all W.C.

He is trying to breed them this year. He have 4 males and 12 females.

Guys, that's why the scientific names are in LATIN, no translations are needed.

You are correct, but there are Chinese translate for different species and subspecies. But I may also hit a wall on this..................

So pretty, their shells look like they are made out of wood. Beautiful.

Thank you for your reply. The beauty is they all have different patterns. A bit like Leopard tortoise but more colorful.

If he got many recent imports from this past year, I sure hope he is practicing safety precautions wherever possible. It looks like he has a lot of those animals in group settings, which may be problematic with a combination of fresh WC animals and a more established LTC group. That's playing with fire. I wish him a lot of luck, but get nervous about this sort of thing.
