Awww, sweet baby Joe! What a round little cutie! Did you name him after Joesmum's little fellow?
Yes.
After Linda's Joe that sadly passed the same day mine started pipping.
Here he is. Still a bad photo though.
He's 31.6 mm front to back. Tiny, but perfectly formed.

The second active egg is pretty welled pipped out and should be producing a tortoise this afternoon.
No name for this one, because it will be the first one that I will try to send off to a new owner that knows his or her stuff.

Thanks for all of the help.
Egg two has now hatched. Also, from my home made incubator.
All the others are in the Hoverbator.
It seems that the curse has been lifted.
Now there's a new curse....Too many tortoises!

First drinks
Yours don't have those prominent scute border lines like mine do:confused:. How long have yours taken to incubate, more to point how long could they have been in the ground.
Did yours stop in the egg until the eggsack had fully absorbed. I've noticed this before with those that come out the ground.
Can you see what I mean? IMG_20170316_202929.jpg

There are four now.
The last one was in a hurry and hatched with some yolk left, witch leaked near the shell and Joe ate it. (The yolk)
The other 3 cracked about half the shell away exposing the heads then just stayed inside and absorbed the yolk before climbing out.
They're all dark. Nice red on the legs. Perfectly formed and very, very small.
The borders are minimal and the lighter colored blocks are different in size and shape, but pretty much the same.
Yours are lighter.
