Front legs behind the knees, where the skin flexes - the outer layer of heavy armory skin is cracked and white skin underneath is visible.
Tortoise arrived this way little over a month ago.
I have been soaking him every morning and if anything the cracks appear wider..
The wider cracks may be due to legs fattening up - he's 125% his orginal body weight now.

I don't think I've ever noticed that. Does the white skin look raw? Maybe you can dab on some Neosporin??

It doesn't look raw or inflamed.
I'll try to take a close up picture tomorrow morning after his soak.

I've had tortoises come to me with cracks and crusty sores from being really dry. I applied coconut oil for a week or two and the crustiness went away, the cracking took forever to heal.

took a good look this morning and either the cracks have healed or I was mistaken to think the cracks existed in the first place.
In the picture the light colored skin in the joint looks normal skin to me - not a crack afterall
