Has anybody tried the closed chamber high humidity method for Egyptians?

I give them a semi enclosed night house in there open top enclosure. Like a sweater box with a hole in the side. I keep moist loose sphagnum in there, they also have alternate retreats without moisture. I could say they show no preference, it's almost like "where ever" when they shut down for the day.

However very soon they are going to go into some vision cages, V322 to be exact, each in it's own cage. They are all coming of age. I spent the time accumulating some F1 animals and I also have some mutts. I want to 'know' the lineage.

They really like what have come to be known as "pallets", a small depression in the soil near some sort of protective thing like between a rock and the side of the cage, or the overhang of a potted plant. That soil is usually a bit more moist than the 'top' of the substrate.
