Even though the heat was sweltering, got around to building an enclosure this past weekend! So now I'm trying to tackle a top to keep out predators. I've definitely seen cats, we had a roadkill skunk so I know there are definitely skunks. Probably racoons although I haven't seen any. I know there are loose peacocks too (not sure if these guys would be considered predators).
Definitely want to do something sturdy and not a cheap solution. So far I bought 1/2" hardware cloth, galvanized handles and hinges. Have a general idea of what to do, not sure how to secure it to the enclosure, or if I should even secure it or not (have it loose and let the weight hold it down). Thoughts and tips would be appreciated!
