Best substrate for a russian tortoise

I just want to get everyone's opinion on the best substrate for a Russian tortoise. I just finished building my enclosure it is 4 feet in length and two feet wide. I am putting substrate into it tomorrow and want to know what substrate would be the best for my tort. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

I vote coco coir all the way!!!!! Mine LOVES to burrow in it!

I use a coir and dirt from the yard combo, or a sphagnum moss and organic topsoil combo.

This is the same thing I do, coir and yard dirt.

i personally use a 50/50 mix of top soil and play sand with sphagnum moss mixed in with everything. be sure to use a decent sized flat rock or slate to as a "plate" for the tortoise to feed on.
