Hi my name is Avril I have recently bought a baby sulcata tortoise, her name is Zoe, I've had her now just 3wks, I thought she was not going to make it, but after the 1st 10days she started to eat and move around, she seems to be doing quiet well. I have a gulf tortoise Named Norman, I've had him 31 yrs, my question is will they get along together or should I keep them separated?

Generally, no. Species shouldn't be mixed. So two seperate enclosures are recommended.

I'm slightly confused. By Gulf Tortoise do you mean Gulf Coast Box Turtle? I wasn't even familiar with them. I had to do a Google search.

Here are the top three things I always recommend reading for those that have young sulcatas.

And welcome to the wonderful world of sulcatas, and more importantly welcome to the forum!

Hi Avril, and welcome to the Forum!

What is a "Gulf Tortoise"? Could it maybe be a gulf coast box turtle:

Or do you think it might possible be a gopher tortoise:

At any rate, your sulcata needs his own space. Tortoises are territorial and fight to chase other turtles/tortoises out of their territory. Besides that, there might be germs that make each other sick or even dead.

Hi @Avril and a very warm welcome to the forum.

As has been mentioned, it is NOT recommended to keep two torts together: bullying would begin.

Please post pics of your torts asap.
