Are these ear abscesses?

Hello All, thank you for all the valuable information that I've gotten on this forum in the past. I picked up my red foot today after 9 days of boarding. He did not have these lumps under his chin when I dropped him off. Are these ear abscesses? Does anyone know of a good tortoise vet in north east MA or southern NH? He just vomited.

No, not ear abscesses. Male desert tortoises have glands under the chin that swell during breeding season. That MIGHT be what it is, but I don't know for sure.

The vomiting is what worries me.

Thank you both for the information. I hope they are breeding season glands! He was getting friendly with my old shoe when he vomited. Of course this would happen on a Saturday evening. I'll call the vet Monday morning unless we need an emergency vet on Sunday.
