Arcadia Mercury Vapor 230v Bulbs at BLOWOUT Prices
These bulbs just arrived from England and are now on sale.
35.99 to 39.99
All you need is an Up Converter 110v to 230v to run them in US and Canada.
You can get the kits from LightYourReptiles.com with the Up Converter included... or supply your own 110v - 220/230v converter.
But remember, the converter must be a heavy duty one and it should be rated at about 1.75 to 2.0 times the wattage of the bulb you are running for continuous duty operation.
"Why go with 230v Mercury Vapor Bulbs that need a converter?":shy:
Well..... I am glad you asked![/size]
Most Mercury Vapor Bulbs actually work better and are more stable as 220v - 230v models ....
as opposed to many of the cheapie 110v models made in China flooding the market.
Some are a huge waste of money and down right dangerous.
These Arcadia Bulbs are duarable!
I just found that out for myself first hand yesterday!
While taking the below photos, I knocked a LIT 160w bulb in a dome fixture off a stand on a table onto the cement floor.
The bulb in the fixture went bouncing off the table and banging on the floor 4 feet below.
And it stayed lit and kept right on working!
The shock could have ruined many other brands of Mercury Vapor Bulb in 110v....
But not this Arcadia 230v Model!
These are designed to hold up!
And at these prices, they will save you money to easily cover the cost of buying a voltage converter.
And as always, feel free to e-mail with any questions.
Thank you.
