I absolutely LOVE this photo!!!!! It looks almost photo shopped as they all sit their with their heads out!!! So cool! The one on the far right looks sleepy or like he/she is pooping. ;)

Greg, a couple questions - that's a pretty big size difference between these two in the video. Makes me wonder what is a "safe" size difference? what happens if the big one here sits on the small one? At what size is the juvenile safe (hard enough shell, strong enough to push their way around, etc)? Do you have rule of thumb?

Second, the hay - do your guys prefer the hay over grazing fresh grass? How did you develop that? At this point with mine, they happily eat hay, but if they have a choice, they would choose the fresh grass over the dry hay. They will just walk past the hay to the growing stuff.

    Thanks,
    Ben

~ Our entire population eats hay, it is usually always available for them to choose to eat what they prefer.

~ We prefer Orchard grass, however it is sometimes very challenging to find. We also feed several mixed hay varieties that contain Orchard grass.

Possible to repost the pic with Alpha inside the barn? I click on it here and it acts like it's a broken link.
