~ Alfa was just over 550 pounds last year. He has had several new growth lines this year and has a fantastic appetite these days, we suspect he is probably near the 560 range these days. We will get new current and accurate weights in December.

They love the tender sand spurs!
Can I borrow one or two of your tortoises next spring? Those dang Sandspur weeds are all over my yard and I can't get rid of them no matter what I do.
Fresh cactus is provided daily!
~ They love them when they are tender, we always cut the grass before they get hard and spiky!
Tuff is happy, healthy & strong these days!

I love tortie tongues! Tuff is magnificent!!! What do you give them to chew on to wear down the points and "teeth" of their beaks, please? I give my little guys cuttle bone and they scrape away at rough rocks when they roam around outdoors- but I can't imagine the size of the calcium blocks and rocks it must take to give this herd the ability to trim their own beaks!
