My yellow foot tortoise just laid eggs for the first time (3 of them). Any advice for helping her recover, etc. (e.g., should I try to up calcium for next few weeks; are there specific foods to avoid that would otherwise be part of a proper diet)? Any specific behavioral or physical changes I should look out for that could indicate health issues relating to the egg laying? Thanks for your time!

She will be looking to nibble on cuttlebone. If there is any available.
She will attempt to eat rocks, if they are around.
She will need to get some calcium.
As long as all of the eggs passed successfully, she will keep acting 100% normal.

I always soak mine when she's finished. That's a long process of digging and peeing. A good soak and some food

I like both of the above posts.

I soak daily or every other for a week or two, and I also up the calcium intake a little. I usually add more Mazuri for protein and nutrients too.
