Thoughts?
I have an ibera greek tort that I've had for a year now. Someone offered me a second ibera greek. I would make a larger indoor enclosure that would be big enough for 2.
Do or Do Not?

I vote, do not.

Your current tortoise votes, do not.

People who have tried to house pairs and have seen it end badly vote, do not.

People who do it anyway and don't understand tortoises are solitary creatures or can't properly ID tortoise aggression because they think their 2 torts are best friend who "cuddle" will vote, do.....But someday they'll change their vote at the expense of one their tortoises.

Solution....make a second enclosure!

Maybe someday, you can create a large tortoise yard and get more greeks and try to create a breeding group. THEN you can attempt to house them together but you'll have extra enclosures around to separate the meanies!

Outside, large yard with 3+ tortoises, can be done....sometimes can't be done.
Indoor enclosure with 2 tortoises, just shouldn't be done.

I have two tortoises in one enclosure and it works out really well for me... But the enclosure is somewhat large and also has a divider.... So i guess technically have two tortoises in one enclosure, but i don't keep two tortoises in the same space... There's also another tortoise on top of the enclosure too ;)
