    Hatchling With Underbite

The parents have access to cuttlebone and they go through them quite quickly. The babies have had calcium sprinkled on their ‘sticky food’ twice a week and always have access to pieces of cuttlebone. I see little nibbles on the edges of the cuttlebone, so I know they at least taste it. This...

    Hatchling With Underbite

Hey guys, I’ve been meaning to ask if anyone has experience with a tortoise with an underbite. Our first hatchling (08-22-21) has an underbite and I’ve filed it down twice. First time with a very fine Emory board, and again today with a fine file. I imagine he’ll need it done regularly for the...

i Posted the first picture here in 2017. It shows a few of my little reds in their newly built enclosed chamber. I would never have known to build it if not for you guys. Those 8 little girls grew up and began hiding eggs everywhere this year. The second picture is some of their offspring in the...

What are the odds of picking a male baby red foot at a pet store?

my first 8 redfoots turned out to be female. 4 were purchased at a pet shop, 4 came from Craigslist. all were between 2.5 and 3.5” at the time of purchase. After searching for three years, I was finally able to locate one young adult pair, thus finally gaining a male. I’m still looking for a...

    Sex my herd ,

I guess I’m in the market for a couple of juvenile males then. Adults would just harass my adult female.

    Sex my herd ,

Wow! I was hoping for mostly girls, but all girls... should I start looking for another male? will one male cover the 9 girls without a little competition?

    Sex my herd ,

None of mine (other than my adult male) show that kind of concavity, but the angle of the anal scutes on 5 and 7 had me concerned they might be boys. i use clotrimazole cream on the shell rot.
