    Advice for this baby!

Our box turtle (Rose) was hatched November of 2016 and quickly out grew its 10 gallon tank. My husband fashioned the new home from a rubbermaid storage box. We use coir with peat for the substrate and it keep it pretty moist so she can burrow. I wet it and fluff it up with my hand to loosen...

Hi everyone, Rose (formerly of Save Our Hatchling) is now 5 months old. She hatched November 5, 2016 and weighed 5.66 grams. She's tipping the scales at 28 grams and seems to eat all the time :). Loves rollie-polly bugs, earthworms, cantaloupe, and apples. Her bugs get coated in calcium and...

Hi Bibbit the forum gave me great advice for my hatchling. Here's a picture of the aquarium. We have more substrate towards the back with lots of moistened sphagnum moss piled up to hide in. We spray the environment twice a day to keep the humidity up.

    S.O.H. - save our hatchling

Dear PJay: Update...our Rose was a month old last Monday and we're happy to say she loves pill bugs! Doesn't like worms. :) Thanks for the suggestion. We've learned to give her a good soak in the afternoon, let her bask for a while to get warm, then give her a pill bug. She prefers to eat...
