    Should I be worried ?

Thanks for the replies, I'll keep it in mind. I've soaked him this morning and he drank a ton. Most likely dehydrated a bit. He stays at his basking spot all the time, maybe that's the cause of it. I'll keep an eye out for sure. His cool side is about 70-80f, but he stays in basking spot all day.

    Should I be worried ?

There's this white thing on the corner of my RT's eye. Only on one side not the other. Could someone please identify what that is to me and how could I possibly fix it ? I use mvb for his lighting. Thanks.

    Female Russian Tortoise Hibernation HELP

Sorry to hear this, don't blame yourself for this because he was most likely uncared for in Petco anyway. Take this as a lesson and never get torts from pet stores. I do see a few things that you need to adjust to keep a healthy tort. Please do research on this forum if you're planning to get...

Yes, don't sprinkle anything on it, those powder smells weird to them, so they might not want to touch it. Good luck getting them to eat. What are you going to feed them tonight ?

    Russian tortoise enclosure

I prefer zoomed's powersun 100w mvb, it provides essential uva, uvb and heat. You need to leave it on for at least 12 hrs. You don't have to use additional heat at night just as long as the temperature doesn't get below 60f.

They're eating their cuttlebone because they're lacking in calcium. The best thing you could do right now is separate them into different enclosures and serve them fresh greens instead of the grassland dried food.

    Russian tortoise enclosure

The heat pad gotta go. Especially if he sleeps on it every night. It will cause dehydration overtime and since you need to their substrate to be at least 4 inches deep, the heat pad is useless. Please provide uvb lighting as well, it is very essential for their shell growth.

    Pooping in the Tub

You lucky your tort does it while being soaked, it's so much easier to clean that way, because you could just dump the water into the toilet. My tort poops in his enclosure and it's such a pain to find it, let alone cleaning it.

    Am I doing everything ok?!

They either raise the the lamp stand higher when it's hot or lower it when it gets too cold. You could try that method. I have my bulb like 15 inches above the enclosure and it works well.

70f = 21c, 19 c at night is fine. As to your question about him staying burrowed, http://www.tortoiseforum.org/index.php?threads/59575/

    Horsefeilds

Lol, nah no babies will come out if she's never been with a male. But if she have mated with a male in the past, there is a chance of hatching a baby tort since they can store sperm for a long long time.

    Am I doing everything ok?!

Do not use coil bulb, they are extremely bad. 1. They cause eye problems. 2. They don't provide much uv. I recommend zoomed's powersun 100w mvb. It has everything you need for your tort, uva, uvb and heat. For the cool side, as long as it stays 70 -80f, it's alright. What are your night lows...

    Am I doing everything ok?!

There are humidity readers that you could get from most pet stores. Keep it above 45 under 70. You're gonna need to dry him with a towel after you bathe him, they can actually get a cold. When spaying, it's best to keep him dry. Right after you spray it, you could put it back. Have you removed...

    Horsefeilds

Please separate them into different enclosures asap. And I recommend zoomed's powersun 100 w mvb for both uv and heating. Horse fields usually eat up a storm. If you notice one eats more than the other, it's most likely one of them being a bully.

    Am I doing everything ok?!

Yes, spray it with water usually does the trick. I cover my enclosure with a piece of cardboard and it works well. Since you have him indoor, I m assuming you're using heater and air conditioner, those could really bring down the humidity, so, if you are using them, make sure you check the...
